The Internet Intelligence Lab is an academic research lab at the School of Computer Science, College of Computing of Georgia Tech. Our research lies at the nexus of Internet measurement, data science, and cybersecurity. We provide data, dashboards, publications, and open source software to improve the shared understanding of Internet infrastructure and phenomena.
The research of the Internet Intelligence Lab provides foundational and practical tools and resources related to measurement, infrastructure, and security of the Internet and is used by academics, policy makers, advocacy organizations, journalists, and intergovernmental organizations.
We develop novel techniques to capture and analyze vast amounts of Internet data. We develop foundational methods to map and measure Internet infrastructure and resources as well as their utilization.
Part of our research focuses on identifying and understanding potential failures within critical Internet infrastructure components like the Internet global routing system and access networks.
We investigate Internet shutdowns and the technical and political signatures of these censorship events. We explore methods of collaboration in documenting and responding to Internet censorship.
